Holding on keeps you alive.
It also keeps you exactly where you are.
Belay is a one-button descent. Hold to catch the rope and swing, let go to move. On the rope, rock cannot kill you. Off it, any touch ends the run.Every metre you gain is a metre you spent unprotected.
Free. No download, no account, one button.
The rope is the whole game
Holding on keeps you alive and stops you descending, so the only way down is to let go. Every metre is bought with unprotected time you chose to spend. Depth is the score and the bottom is 100,000 m, which nobody is expected to reach. Why it is built that way.
A cave that is different every time, and the same for everyone
Nine kinds of cave — drifts, sweeps, pinches, funnels, caverns, and splits where one channel ends in solid rock — placed by a seeded grammar. The cave is identical for every player and unpredictable the first time you fall it.
Six kinds of anchor
Shape tells you what a thing is; colour tells you whether it will hurt you. The guide explains all six.
Scores that actually happened
Every score on the board was checked before it appeared. Your run is sent as the keys you pressed, and the server plays it back and measures the depth itself. A number nobody actually reached cannot be posted. You need a name, not an account.

Free, and not trying to keep you
No ads, no account, no cookies and nothing to buy. No streaks, no daily rewards and no notifications either. If it took some of your evening and you want to say thanks, buy me a coffee — entirely optional, and it changes nothing in the game.
